Does it hurt?
No, we use the latest techniques to anesthetise the teeth and gums. We can even apply anaesthetic gel to the gum so you don’t feel the injection.
How much will it cost?
Full breakdowns of all costs involved are provided by us before the undertaking of any dental work.
Are metal fillings bad?
Cosmetically yes, but there is no strong evidence to support that they shouldn’t be used.
Can I get it on the NHS?
It depends on what is being done, briefly the NHS will provide the patient with what is required for function.
When can I see the dentist?
We aim to see all our patients as soon as possible and have access available throughout the day.
What shall I do if you are closed and I have an emergency?
Please call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 for out of hours emergency dental care though useful information is available on our website.
If a tooth gets knocked out what shall I do?
If it is a baby tooth then it often cannot be re-implanted, but you should still visit the surgery to check the other teeth. If it is an adult tooth then provided it is clean it can be pushed back into the socket and the patient should visit the surgery immediately as the longer you leave it the less chance it has of being re-implanted. Keep the tooth safe ideally in milk until you are seen.
How often do I need to visit the dentist?
New guidelines published by NICE have suggested different recall intervals. Patients with a lot of dental disease or at more risk of developing problems need to visit more often than patients with few or no problems.
If I am seen on the NHS can I still have private treatment?
Yes, there is no restriction to NHS patients receiving private items of care e.g. tooth whitening.
Do you have a ground floor surgery?
Yes, we have a ground floor surgery and disabled access to all facilities required. If you have particular needs please contact our friendly staff so that they may assist you.
